WHO WE ARE Shelter Animal Advocacy Fund, Los Angeles SAAFLA is a public benefit non-profit corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes. We serve shelter animals in the community by providing services, programs and support designed to aid in adoptions, retention and education. SAAFLA is dedicated to the following goals: Rehabilitating hard-to-adopt shelter animals. Educating children and adults alike on responsible pet guardianship Donating funds to support the rescue of at-risk animals in the shelter. SAAFLA helps find rescues and forever homes for the animals that have been in the shelters the longest and will die without help, securing a no-kill facility where rescued pets can be safely sheltered without the threat of euthanization.
